Pack Wars: Bonus Packs 1 and 2

Sorry for the delay on this. A house full of sick people, myself excluded, made for a pretty poor Monday. Without further adieu, let's get this pack war going again.

Your up to the minute standings are:

Hiflew--16 points
Josh D--15 points
Dodgerbobble--11 points
Eric L--8 points
Spankee--8 points
Derek Hill--5 points
Morgan--5 points
The Hit King--5 points
Thorzul--5 points
Dawgbones--4 points
Kazi--4 points
Rob--4 points
Zach--4 points
Fuji--3 points
Captain Canuck--2 points
arpsmith-- -3 points

Bonus Pack 1: Jafronius – Cubs, Ichiro

Pablo Sandoval—The back says Pablo led the Giants in every Triple Crown Category in 2011. That sounds great until you realize he was 16 homers, 56 RBIs and 22 batting average points behind the leaders. Big whoop. +0
Delmon Young—Not a twin anymore AND the cartoon on the back mentions how you homered twice off the Rangers in game 5 of the ALCS? I’m done with you DY. +0
Matt Garza—Can you be the ace with 10 wins? You can in Cubville. I like Garza and I hope he has a better year. Or maybe he needs more run support. Well, he gets 2 today. Favorite Team, +2
J.B. Schuck—Aw sch…nah, too easy. Singled in his first career at-bat so that’s cool. No points for Jafronius, not cool. +0
Jason Vargas—“Hi, I’m Jason Vargas and I’m on the most boring card of 2012.” +0
Baseball Flashbacks Hank Aaron—Bad ass is right. +5
Boston Red Sox team card—those 5 guys on the left are yellow. Chicken. Beer. Yellow. I don’t know, it’s 4:30 in the morning while I’m typing this. Go easy. +0
Dustin Ackley—He hit the first homerun of the entire season. For any team. Cool factor. +1
Josh Reddick—Rookie Trophy coolness. +1

Jafronius total = 9 points

Bonus Pack 2: Spiegel83 – Dodgers, Clayton Kershaw

Michael Morse—31 homers, 95 RBIs and a .303 average. Not too shabby for a guy I never heard of before. +0
Ian Kinsler—Ranger greatness, +3
2012 Rookie Stars—Floating heads float my boat, +1
Anthony Rizzo—The back of the card says he could provide some pop for the Padres. He had 1 homer in 128 at bats last year. That’s some pop. I’ll just ignore the fact that he’s a Cub, not a Padre, and he didn’t make the opening day roster. +0
Vladimir Guerrero—He had one season with the Rangers and what a season it was…Ranger lightning in a bottle, +1
Chase D’Arnaud—Not chasing this one. +0
Juston Upton Stick ‘Em—I want to stick these in my school locker. Unfortunately, that locker and the rest of the school were torn down about 9 years ago. Stupid progress. +5
Anibal Sanchez—There’s that logo again. +0
Willie Bloomquist—make sure you have Willie on your fantasy team. He’ll get you a 100 RBIs. If you keep him for the next 6 years. +0

Spiegel83 total = 10 points
